{"id":12142,"date":"2021-01-15T14:45:52","date_gmt":"2021-01-15T14:45:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carolidilli.tattoo\/?post_type=portfolio&#038;p=12142"},"modified":"2022-06-21T20:29:11","modified_gmt":"2022-06-21T20:29:11","slug":"pez-gato-gloton","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/carolidilli.tattoo\/en\/portfolio\/pez-gato-gloton\/","title":{"rendered":"Gluttonous catfish"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Namazu Series<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The earliest historical records of the link between <em>namazu<\/em> and earthquakes is from the end of the 16th century.<\/strong>It is known that this belief was maintained over the centuries because it <strong>every time there was a strong earthquake, large quantities of woodblock prints inspired by the giant catfish were sold.&nbsp;<\/strong>and other catfish in the most varied scenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This style of visual production is known for <em>namazu-e<\/em><\/strong>and is a subgenre of the <em>ukiyo-e<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>An interesting curiosity about catfishes is that they are very greedy. They can swallow another fish of the same size. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>I have seen a video where a catfish did it, I think it didn't take a couple of minutes to gobble it up, and its body was totally stretched out because it had eaten another fish with dimensions practically the same as its own.
