Shintoism or Shintoism is the indigenous religion of Japan, which is a fundamental part of the way of being and being in the world of the Japanese people.
This religion is intrinsically connected to Japanese traditions and appears in Japan's earliest written sources.
It can be described as a sophisticated form of animism naturalistic. It is based on the belief that the entire natural world is endowed with life, soul or consciousness of its own and is therefore considered sacred.

The Buddhism was introduced in Japan between the 6th and 7th centuries and gradually merged with Shintoism.
Since then, spiritual values and teachings from countries such as India, China and Korea have come to influence Japanese religious thought.
Shinto is increasingly practicing ancestor worship, and the moral concepts of the Confucianism Chinese, as well as the cosmology from Taoism and the belief in the salvation of the Buddhism played an important role.
The Japanese are mostly Shintoists and Buddhists and tend to practice rites of both religions according to the occasion.
