Kasa Bake - Ghost Umbrella

This is the representation of a ghost umbrella. In Japanese it is said kasa bake. You can find its name translated in other ways to our alphabet, such as kasa-bake o kasa-obake.

Apparently there are a few supernatural umbrellas. One is drawn in the story (舌切り雀 shita-kiri suzume) "The sparrow with the severed tongue".well known in Japan. Another named hone karakasa appears in an old illustration of Toriyama Sekien.
