Black dragon and fire tattoo

Kabeza and I came from Brazil to Spain in 2006, the same year we started this project. tattooIt was an important year, a year of many moves and new beginnings. We did not come specifically with the idea of staying, but Madrid treated us very well from the beginning and we are still here more than ten years later.

Kabeza is a fighter in body, soul and heart. He thinks, breathes and lives for the art of the fight.

I already had other tattoos, some done by me, in other styles and all in black. When he decided to get a tattoo on his back, we were thinking about what could best represent him, and I couldn't help but think of making him a ryu.. He was still not sure about it, but in the end I prepared a sketch for him and when he saw it he was convinced.

Dragons have a vast and diverse symbolism, and although many do not know it, they transmit a lot of strength and have always been related to the warrior spirit.

Kabeza's dragon, in particular, denotes imposing. Partly because of the size, expression and movement it has, and partly because of the canvas. The body, scars and musculature already tell their own story, the tattoo simply reinforces it.

Previously, he had a small tattoo on the upper central part of the back, we have chosen to cover it, otherwise it would affect too much the layout of the new drawing on the back. We have added fire to give it even more power.. It is also an element with which Kabeza identifies himself and is present in other of his tattoos.

It has taken us six long years to complete this piece. Dedicating his days to training and constantly competing, he preferred to get a tattoo when he had to take a break from injuries.

I am very happy and proud of this work. I think it represents Kabeza well and tells part of its history, and also of the mine.
